Literally, 5 minutes to make, 10 minutes to fry 🥳 when ready, you can either go wild with your toppings or stay simple and classic – maple syrup, raspberries, strawberries, sugar powder, peanut butter, cream cheese, fresh fruits, halvah spread, chocolate, nuts.. did I forget something?! 😜

Notes:

For this recipe, any type of bread will work – gluten free, whole wheat, Italian, French, brioche, challah, white and more!

If you are gluten free like me just use any gluten free bread that you have 👍

Ingredients

6 slices of gluten free bread You can also use brioche or challah leftovers.
2 eggs
1/2 cup almond milk You can also use regular cow’s milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoon maple syrup
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
2 tablespoon sugar powder (optional) To sprinkle on top, once ready

Directions

1.

Start with the egg mixture

In a shallow bowl/container whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon (optional) and maple syrup.

Preheat a pan

Preheat a pan with 1 tablespoon of olive oil/vegetable oil/butter on a medium heat
Mark as complete
3.

Bread dipping

Dip your bread slices in the egg mixture.
Don’t forget to make sure that both sides of the bread were properly soaked in the egg mixture 👌

4.

Fry the bread slices

Fry the bread slices on the pan on each side until golden color (2-3 minutes per side)
Mark as complete

Serve & enjoy 😋

Serve hot with your favorite topping - I would go with the classic maple syrup but you can always add sprinkled sugar powder, fresh fruits, cream cheese, nuts, peanut butter, chocolate, cinnamon and more
