500g chicken breast cut into bite-size pieces | |
1 ½ tsp baking powder | |
1tbsp all-purpose GF flour |
Sauce
300ml orange juice | |
2 grated garlic cloves | |
1 ½ tbsp soy sauce Gluten-free | |
2tsp rice wine vinegar | |
2tsp brown sugar | |
1tsp sesame oil | |
1 small red chili or chili flakes | |
1 grated piece of ginger. About a thumb-sized | |
1tsp cornflour |
Directions

In a medium-size bowl
mix the chicken with the baking powder and let it sit for a few minutes.
In the meanwhile, prepare a non-stick pan with a thin layer of olive oil. Once the pan is hot enough, add the chicken, and let it cook until it gets a nice, golden, coat. Remove from the heat.
Note: you can also bake the chicken in the oven on a wire rack.

In a small pot
slowly add all the sauce ingredients and let it simmer for about 7-8 minutes.
Whisk the sauce regularly until slightly thickened.
Once the sauce has become a little thicker, pour the sauce into the pan with the chicken and let the two cook together for another 4-5 minutes.
Let it simmer until the sauce has become thick enough.
Before serving, feel free to garnish the chicken with some sesame seeds and/or spring onions.
